Here we are, slap in the middle of sports fan no man’s land. Not only is there no MLB baseball today or tomorrow, there’s no NBA, NHL, NFL, or NASCAR either. RHP Scipio Spinks (76) pitched in 11 games over three seasons with the Astros, from 1969 through 1971. He struck out 36 in 45 frames, logging a 1.400 WHIP and a 4.53 FIP.

RHP Ron Willis (1943-1977) pitched in three contests for Houston in 1969, striking out two in 2 ¹⁄₃ innings.
