Another day of minor league baseball is in the books and you can see all the Astros affiliates results below.

AAA: Sugar Land Skeeters (69-48) won 7-2 (BOX SCORE)

Scheetz started for the Skeeters and allowed 1 run over 3 innings of work. He was relieved by Olczak who tossed 2 scoreless innings. Pena put Sugar Land on the board in the 5th with a 2 run HR, his 4th in AAA. The Skeeters blew it open scoring 4 runs in the 6th on a Gonzalez 3 run HR and Matijevic RBI single. Sierra added an RBI double in the 7th to extend the lead. The bullpen was solid allowing just 1 unearned run the rest of the way as they sealed the win.

Note: Pena is hitting .368 with 4 HR, 11 RBI in September.


AA: Corpus Christi Hooks (53-65) won 6-1 (BOX SCORE)

Macuare got the start for the Hooks and pitched well allowing 1 run over 5 innings. The Hooks opened up a nice lead in the 4th inning scoring 4 runs on a Lee RBI double, Valdez RBI single, Salazar RBI double, and Adolph RBI single. In the 8th the offense added 2 more runs in 8th on an Adolph RBI single and Perez RBI double. Record had a scoreless inning in relief and then Sprinkle tossed 2 scoreless innings. Tejada closed it out with a scoreless 9th.

Note: Sprinkle has 79 K in 44 innings this season.


A+: Asheville Tourists (53-62) lost 10-9 (BOX SCORE)

Gurller started for Asheville and allowed 4 runs over 3.2 innings. The Tourists got on the board in the 4th inning scoring 6 runs on a Whitcomb 2 run HR, Abreu RBI single, Daniels RBI single and Correa 2 run single. Moclair would relieve Gruller but he allowed 3 runs while retiring just 1 batter. The offense got another run in the 6th on a Daniels sac fly but the Dash scored 3 more runs to extend their lead to 10-7. The Tourists got two runs back in the 7th on a balk and Santana RBI double. Unfortunately that was it for the offense as they lost 10-9.

Note: Whitcomb is hitting .300 with .959 OPS in High-A.


A: Fayetteville Woodpeckers (55-64) won 2-1 (BOX SCORE)

Kouba started for the Woodpeckers and tossed 3 scoreless innings with 3 strikeouts. Hamilton put the Woodpeckers on the board in the 2nd inning with a solo HR. Kouba was relieved by Palmer who went 5 innings allowing 1 run and striking out 8. The game went into extra innings tied at 1 and in the bottom of the 10th, Wagner walked it off with an RBI single for the 2-1 win.

Note: Wagner is hitting .370 in September.
