Another day of minor league baseball is in the books and you can see all the Astros affiliates results below.

AAA: Sugar Land Skeeters (45-33) won 11-5 (BOX SCORE)

Hansen started for the Skeeters and got roughed up a bit allowing 5 runs in 3 innings. The offense responded with 3 runs in the 2nd with a run on a balk, a Sierra sac fly, and a Stubbs RBI double. They got 5 more in the 3rd on a Gonzalez RBI single, Papierski RBI single and Sierra 3 run HR. The offense wasn’t done though getting a solo HR from Gonzalez in the 4th, solo HR from Matijevic in the 5th and a Hinojosa RBI double in the 6th. Martinez, Baez, McKee, Scheetz and James all tossed scoreless outings to close it out.

Note: Matijevic has 17 HRs this season.


AA: Corpus Christi Hooks (36-44) won 7-5 (BOX SCORE)

Ruppenthal started for the Hooks but was pulled after just two batters. He was relieved by Henderson who allowed 4 runs in 1 inning of work. Perez brought the Hooks back with a 3 run HR in the 5th inning. Adolph added a 2 run HR in the 6th as the Hooks took a 5-4 lead. Horrell tossed 3.1 scoreless in relief before giving way to Hernandez who went 2.2 innings allowing 1 run. The game went to extra innings and Julks connected on a 2 run HR in the 10th to put the Hooks up. Conn closed it out with a scoreless 9th.

Note: Perez has 12 HR, 46 RBI in 69 games this season.


A+: Asheville Tourists (33-45) lost 11-6 (BOX SCORE)

Freure got the start and went 5 innings allowing 4 runs while striking out 8. Asheville got on the board in the 3rd on a Berryhill RBI double and Daniels RBI single. Dirden added an RBI single in the 4th. In the 8th inning, the Tourists got a Correa RBI groundout and a Valdez 2 run HR to take the lead. Sprinkle came in for the 9th and struggled walking 4 before being pulled. He was charged with 4 runs. Sprinkle was relieved by Moclair who allowed another 2 runs. They were unable to mount a comeback in the 9th as they lost 11-6.

Note: Daniels is hitting .471 in August.


A: Fayetteville Woodpeckers (35-45) won 10-5 (BOX SCORE)

Schroeder started for Fayetteville and allowed 2 runs over 3 innings of work. Perry put the Woodpeckers on the board in the 2nd inning with a 2 run single. In the 3rd, Rodriguez added an RBI single. The woodpeckers blew it open in the 4th scoring 6 runs on a Sandle RBI double, Kato RBI double, Brewer 2 run HR, and Mascai 2 run HR. Perry would add an RBI double in the 7th. Reina allowed 2 runs over 3 innings and Calderon closed it out allowing 1 run over 3 innings.

Note: Mascai has a .880 OPS in 12 games in Low-A.
