Another day of minor league baseball is in the books and you can see all the Astros affiliates results below.

AAA: Sugar Land Skeeters (44-33) OFF


AA: Corpus Christi Hooks (35-44) lost 3-2 (BOX SCORE)

Lawson started for the Hooks and went 7.2 innings allowing 3 runs. The Hooks rallied to get a run in the 5th on an Adolph RBI single and a run in the 6th on a wild pitch to make it 2-2. The Missions got their 3rd run in the 8th off of Lawson. Unfortunately, the Hooks went down in order in the 9th as they lost 3-2.

Note: Lawson has a 3.43 ERA this season.


A+: Asheville Tourists (33-44) won 8-7 (BOX SCORE)

Asheville jumped out to an early 2-0 lead with a 2 run single in the first inning. De Paula started and went 1.2 innings allowing 2 runs. He was relieved by Case who tossed 3.1 scoreless innings. The Tourists put up 5 runs in the 7th on a Valdez RBI double, Nova bases loaded walk, Daniels 2 run single, and a run scoring on a fielder’s choice. Gruller relieved Casey and allowed 5 runs as the Dash tied it up. In the bottom of the 8th, the Tourists took the lead on a Dirden solo HR. DeJuneas closed it out tossing a scoreless 1.1 innings to seal it.

Note: Dirden has 12 HR in 60 games this season.


A: Fayetteville Woodpeckers (34-45) lost 4-1 (BOX SCORE)

Tamarez got the start for the Woodpeckers and was dominant striking out 11 over 5 scoreless innings. The game was scoreless until the 7th when Loperfido drove in the first run on a sac fly. Betances struggled in relief allowing 1 run in the 8th and 3 in the 9th as the Nationals took a 4-1 lead. The offense was unable to respond as they dropped this one, 4-1.

Note: Tamarez has 34 K over his last 18 innings.
