Framber Valdez goes for the series win in Game 2 against the Mall Cops of South Oklahoma.

It’s not how many hits you get in baseball that wins games. It’s how many runs you score. And to score runs you generally have to bunch up your hits.

That’s what the Astros did yesterday, scoring all five of their runs in one inning, just enough to pull out a 5-4 win.

The Astros faced Glen Otto last night in his major league debut. Let’s hope that was just rookie luck, but he shut down the Astros last night, and his slider made a number of the best Astros hitters luck silly.

At least Otto won’t be pitching for the Yankees, who traded him for Joey Gallo. Otto might haunt the Astros for many years, however. Let’s hope not.

Tonight it’s Framber against Kolby Allard, who comes into the game with a 4.86 ERA. Let’s hope the Astros bats are a little more active than they were last night, 7th inning excepted.
