Four Astros homers bury Ms.

Homers by Yuli Gurriel, Yordan Alvarez, Martin Maldonado, and rookie phenom Jake Meyers, plus solid + pitching by Lance McCullers buried the Mariners early. The Astros scored multiple runs in each of their first 5 innings, a franchise first.

Among the Astros' 15 hits were doubles by Aledmys Diaz and Alvarez, and triples by Carlos Correa and Jose Altuve.

Mariners starter Yusei Kikuchi lasted only 2.2 innings, allowing seven earned runs, while the Astros' Lance McCullers went sic, allowing two runs with eight ks.

Astros relievers Brooks Raley, Pedro Baez, and Yimi Garcia finished the night, allowing only a Ty France homer against Baez.

Kyle Seager homered in the fourth, and former Astro Abraham Toro added a run with an RBI single in the sixth.
