Another day of minor league baseball is in the books and you can see all the Astros affiliates results below.

AAA: Sugar Land Skeeters (31-22) POSTPONED


AA: Corpus Christi Hooks (25-32)

Game 1 - lost 3-1 (BOX SCORE)

Brown got the start and was really good striking out 8 in 5 innings. Unfortunately in the 5th he allowed back to back HRs. The Hooks only run came on a Kessinger solo HR in the 3rd inning. Henderson went 2 innings in relief allowed 1 unearned run but the offense was unable to mount a comeback.

Note: Brown has 60 K in 37 innings this season.

Game 2 - lost 6-4 (BOX SCORE)

Mushinski started game 2 and allowed 4 runs in the first inning but they were all unearned. He ended up striking out 7 over 4 innings of work. Schreiber put the Hooks on the board with a 2 run double in the 2nd inning. Kessinger got the Hooks closer with an RBI single in the 4th. Record relieved Mushinski and allowed 2 runs in 2.2 innings. Schreiber added an RBI single in the 6th to make it 6-4 but that was all from the offense as they dropped game 2, 6-4.

Note: Schreiber is hitting .321 in 44 games this season.


A+: Asheville Tourists (25-31) won 13-7 (BOX SCORE)

Lopez started and went 2.2 innings allowing 4 runs. The offense got things going in the 3rd with a Barefoot RBI single. In the 4th they got 5 runs on a Whitcomb RBI single, Holderbach RBI single, Salazar 2 run single and Valdez RBI single. The Tourists blew it open more in the 5th scoring 3 runs on a Carrasco 2 run HR and Holderbach solo HR. Holderbach added another solo HR in the 7th and an RBI single in the 8th. In the 9th, the Tourists got solo HRs from Salazar and Valdez to extend the lead. Bravo closed it out tossing 5 scoreless innings with 7 strikeouts.

Note: Valdez has 15 HR, 54 RBI in 49 games this season.
