The Houston Astros offense can smash the baseball. Everyone knows that. But did you know that Aledmys Diaz can too? Well today, he showed that today in a big way, first igniting the Astros offense in the third inning.

Now on the mound, we struggled today, Zack Grienke wasn’t his usual self today, giving up 8 hits, 6 runs and and 4 home runs over 4 innings of work. He was relieved by recently acquired Phil Maton, who threw an inning of shut out ball, which was nice to see, but other than that our bullpen struggled the rest of the way.
The Astros play the Giants tomorrow at 3:05 CT on ATT Sportsnet. The Astros will have Luis Garcia on the mound for the Astros. Logan Webb will be on the mound for the Giants.
