Astros Crawfish Potluck and Trade Deadline Open Thread: July 29th, 2021

There’s no Astros game today, but with the trade deadline upon us, that doesn’t mean there’s not any action to discuss and news to share as a community.

With regular Crawfish Boilmaster CKuno dead, traded, kidnapped, or on vacation. . . probably on vacation. . . (I mean he said he was going to buy a hat to bring back), we are calling on the TCB community as a whole, to do their best impressions of our rant-prone editor, and provide links to news pieces and articles from around the web that you find interesting and would like to share with the rest of your fellow Astros fans.

Just post a link to the article, video, news piece, tweet, whatever it is in the comments, and we’ll periodically update the body of the article with your submissions, and credit you with the find.

But just like the story of Stone Soup, this isn’t going to work without your additions, so please bring to the table, or else we’ll all be here standing around some hot water with rocks in them.

Also since there is no game and thus no game thread today, this will serve as an open thread for Trade Deadline discussion. The deadline is tomorrow at 3 pm CT, but there is sure to be a flurry of activity today, just as there was yesterday.
