Another day of minor league baseball is in the books and you can see all the Astros affiliates results below.

AAA: Sugar Land Skeeters (34-26) lost 8-5 (BOX SCORE)

De La Cruz had another big game and put the Skeeters on the board early with an RBI single in the first. In the 3rd, De La Cruz connected on a 2 run HR, his 12th of the season. France started and went 4 innings allowing 2 runs. Sierra added a solo HR in the 5th and Hinojosa added a solo HR in the 7th to go up 5-2. The bullpen pitched well tossing 5 scoreless innings to close it out.

Note: De La Cruz is hitting .370 with 6 HR in July.


AA: Corpus Christi Hooks (28-36) won 4-1 (BOX SCORE)

Bermudez started for the Hooks and was dominant striking out 10 in 6 scoreless innings. Manea put the Hooks on the board with a solo HR in the 2nd inning. In the 3rd, the Hooks put up 3 more on a Gonzalez RBI double and Adams 2 run single. Henderson tossed 2 innings in relief allowing a run and Hernandez closed it out with a perfect 9th picking up the save.

Note: Bermudez has 13 BB/85 K in 58.2 innings this season.


A+: Asheville Tourists (27-36) lost 8-3 (BOX SCORE)

Ruppenthal started for the Tourists and allowed 4 runs over 4.1 innings. He was relieved by De Paula who allowed 3 over his 1.1 innings of work. Barefoot put the Tourists on the scoreboard with a solo HR in the 4th. A run also scored on a double play in the 4th. Whitcomb added a solo HR in the 6th. The offense was quiet the rest of the game though as they fell 8-3.

Note: Barefoot has 14 HR and a .961 OPS this season.


A: Fayetteville Woodpeckers (28-35) won 7-6 (BOX SCORE)

Tamarez started and pitched really well striking out 8 over 5 innings while allowing just 2 runs. The offense got on the board in the 4th with a run scoring on a wild pitch and a Pinto RBI double. In the 5th, they blew it open scoring 5 runs on a Correa RBI double, Berryhill 2 run HR and a run scoring on an error and on a wild pitch. Jimenez allowed 4 runs over the final 4 innings but was able to close it out for the win.

Note: Correa is hitting .393 in July.
