AAA: Sugar Land Skeeters (17-7) lost 8-1 (BOX SCORE)

Donato made his AAA debut and struggled a bit allowing 6 runs over 3.2 innings. The offense only scored one run on the night and that came on a Siri RBI double in the first inning. Kelly and Eades has scoreless outings in relief but the Skeeters’ offense was unable to get anything going and dropped this one 8-1.

Note: Siri has 32 RBI in 22 games this season.

AA: Corpus Christi Hooks (11-15) lost 12-7 (BOX SCORE)

Rosado started and things completely unraveled in the 2nd inning. After a scoreless first inning, Rosado allowed 6 runs in the 2nd before getting pulled for McKee. Unfortunately McKee allowed another 4 runs as the Hooks went down 10-0 in the 2nd inning. McKee would allow 2 more in the 3rd. The Hooks offense got on the board in the 3rd inning on a Gonzalez RBI groundout and a run scoring on a wild pitch. They picked up another run in the 4th on a Stubbs RBI single. They got 2 more runs in the 6th on a Stubbs RBI groundout and Costes RBI single to make it 12-5. The offense kept battling getting two more in the 7th on a wild pitch and Taylor sac fly. Mushinski pitched in relief and tossed 5 scoreless innings. Unfortunately the offense was unable to finish the comeback and lost 12-7.

Note: Matijevic has a .878 OPS in 21 games this season.

A+: Asheville Tourists (13-13) won 3-1 (BOX SCORE)

Bravo got the start for the Tourists and pitched really well striking out 7 over 6 innings while allowing just 1 run. The Tourists got all 3 of their runs on a Valdez 3 run HR in the 3rd, his 5th HR of the season. Ceballos has 1.2 scoreless innings in relief. He was relieved by Tejada who tossed a scoreless inning before Casey came in and got the final out to close it.
