Time to keep the heat turned up high

MLB: Chicago White Sox at Houston Astros Erik Williams-USA TODAY Sports

The Astros have just won seven straight games and 16 of their last 20. And yet they are only tied for first place. They’ve played tough competition during the streak too, and they’re missing key components of their offense due to injury. Thank the heavens for the hot bats of Carlos Correa, Michael Brantley, and Abraham Toro, filling in for All-Star Alex Bregman.

And what about the Yankees helping us out last night. Winning 2-1 over the A’s by turning a ninth-inning triple play just when it looked like the A’s would have another miracle ninth-inning comeback. It was their third triple play this year.

Now the Stros take on one of the worst teams in baseball. Let’s hope the Astros don’t do like NBA teams often do; make up a 20 point deficit and then fall apart .

Time to keep the heat up, put the pedal to the metal, and leave the A’s eating Stros dust.

It’s an Odorizzi day. Seems like he’s still in the Spring Training phase of his season. Lots of progress in his last start. Let’s hope he keeps it up.

It was rumored that Kyle Tucker would return from IL but he is not in today’s lineup. Here it is.
