The Astros have been flattening baseballs.
They have scored 51 runs in seven games, second in MLB. They’ve scored four or more in every game they’ve played en route to a 6 -1 record.
And although the Astros are second in MLB in OPS, .892, let’s not forget the pitching. They’re third in ERA at 2.61.
Lance McCullers goes tonight on the mound. He was wild in his first start, but still managed to allow only one run in five innings. If he can combine fastball command with his arsenal of breaking stuff, he would be truly elite.
It could happen. Maybe tonight.
Here’s the lineup for both sides.
