After Ryan Pressly gave up two runs in the tenth last night I thought it was another losing streak about to happen. why this just isn't the Astros season.
But luck was on our side for once last night, with some skill too.
In the bottom of the tenth Myles Straw beat out a swinging bunt. Then Jason Castro, he of the .150 BA going into the game, hit a double that barely nicked the foul line chalk. And the game was won by Robel Garcia, his first RBI since 2019 and only his second hit this year, with a single just beyond the second baseman’s grasp, to walk-off Angels.
Zack Greinke allowed 10 hits and 2 runs in 7 innings last night but was masterful at inducing outs with runners in scoring position. (with the help of three double plays) It was his fourth quality start even if it wasn’t pretty.
The Angels send Griffin Canning, 5.68 ERA, against the Stros.
