Greinke allows 4 runs, Astros offense struggles as they drop game one to the A’s, 4-2

Zack Greinke got the start in game one, and he struggled a bit. After two scoreless innings to start the game, Greinke allowed a Davis solo HR and a Laureano RBI single in the 3rd inning that put the A’s up 2-0.

The offense started out sluggish but Michael Brantley finally got them on the board with a 2 run HR in the 5th inning to tie it at 2.

The game didn’t stayed tied for long as the A’s got two more runs off Greinke in the 6th on a Grossman RBI single and a Khris Davis RBI double to take a 4-2 lead.

Greinke finished allowing 4 runs over 6 innings of work with 6 strikeouts.

The Astros put a runner on the in the 7th, but were unable to score anything as the dropped game one of the doubleheader, 4-2.
