Kyle Tucker, who has been on a tear, continued his hot hitting connecting on a 2 run HR in the first inning to put the Astros up 2-0. Aledmys Diaz followed with a solo HR in the 2nd inning to make it 3-0.

Framber Valdez got the start and had a rough, yet long outing. The Angels got on the board in the second on a Walsh single. In the 3rd, the Angels put up a crooked number getting 3 runs on a 2 run HR from Rendon and a Walsh sac fly as the Angels went up 4-3.

The Angels extended their lead to 5-3 on a Barreto RBI single in the 6th inning.

The offense bounced back in the 7th getting a solo HR from Correa and a Toro RBI double to tie the game at 5.

Valdez came back out for the 8th but allowed three straight singles before being pulled for Devenski. Devenski wasn’t much better as he walked two including a bases loaded walk and then allowed a 2 run single to Upton as the Angels went ahead 9-5.

Valdez was charged with 11 hits and 8 runs in 7 innings of work. His season ERA jumped to 3.61.

The Astros went down in order in the 9th as they dropped their fourth straight game 9-5.
