Astros go for the series win in this early afternoon rubber match.

If there were an All-Star game this year, this game would no doubt feature two pitchers participating in the mid-season classic.

The Rangers’ Lance Lynn’s 1.93 ERA means that if baseball’s worst offense scores only two runs, he and the Rangers still win.

And that is what has happened. Despite pitching for a team that has lost almost twice as many games as it has won, Lynn has a record of 4-1, almost a third of the team’s total.

Astros ace Zack Greinke has learned to baffle and bewilder hitters to an astounding degree despite a fastball that only averages 88 mph. He is 2-0 with a 2.68 ERA.
