Lance McCullers is back. Considering the totality of his work prior to going on IL, that may not be a good thing. Maybe with a little rest and in full health, we’ll see peak Mccullers just in time for the playoffs.
McCullers’ mound opponent, Kyle Gibson, is even worse though. (1-5, 6.14 ERA). The Astros bats need to take advantage. The Stros are only 2 games ahead of the Mariners for the all-important second place slot in the AL West to qualify for the playoffs with three games with the Mariners coming up.
Good news. After being unable to walk off the field last night after being hit in the ankle by a foul ball, Carlos Correa will be in the line up tonight.
Here it is.
