The Astros beat up on the angels yesterday, 11-4. behind Kyle Tucker hitting and framber Valdez pitching. Cionel Perez got his season debut with two strong innings in relief.
In the first game Cristian Javier gets the start for the Stros. He’s 2-1 with a 3.55 ERA. His Halo opponent will be Jose’ Suarez, a 22 year-old Venezuelan who has only thrown one inning this year, but in 82 innings in his young career he has a 7.54 ERA.
For the second game Brandon Bielak have been announced as the starter. Humberto Castellanos is activated as the 29th player on the roster for today’s doubleheader. George Springer cannot hit in today’s games but Manager Dusty Baker says he could be used defensively.
