Bielak struggles as Astros fall to the Padres, 13-2

The Astros looked to bounce back from their loss last night. The offense started out well picking up a run when Altuve doubled and later scored on a Gurriel sacrific fly.

Bielak, who has been great, started for the Astros tonight. In the first inning, he solo HRs to Trent Grisham and Manny Machado as the Padres took an early 2-1 lead.

In the 2nd inning, Bielak allowed a solo HR to Wil Myers. After a single in a walk, Grisham came back up with one out and crushed a 3 run HR to RCF to make it 6-1 Padres in the second inning. After a HBP, Bielak was pulled for Humberto Castellanos.

The Padres added another run in the 2nd on an RBI single and then Jake Cronenworth conencted on a grand slam to make it 11-1 in the 2nd inning...

In good new, Taylor Jones hit his first major league HR in the 5th inning as he made it 11-2.

Castellanos and Biagini were able to hold the Padres scoreless for the next four innings unti. Grisham hit another homer, this time a 2 run shot to make it 13-2.

The Astros offense couldn’t get anything else going. Jose Altuve did pick up three more hits, logging his fourth consecutive multi-hit game.
