Cristian Javier, who struggled his last time out, got the start for the Astros and turned things around tonight. He worked around base runners but was able to toss six scoreless innings dropping his ERA down to 2.91.

The Astros got on the board in the second inning when Yordan Alvarez scored on a Jose Altuve RBI groundout. Yuli Gurriel continued his hot hitting crushing a homer on back to back nights to make it 2-0.

Josh James relieved Javier and was able to toss a scoreless 7th inning to keep the shutout in tact. Raley came on in relief of James to pitch the 8th. He allowed a solo HR but that was it in the 8th.

Ryan Pressly was the next man up to pitch the 9th inning with a 2-1 lead. He closed it out convincingly as he struck out two picking up the save.

Short, sweet, and to the point!
