2020 Series Poll: Los Angeles Dodgers @ Houston Astros

The Astros (3-1, 1st in AL West) close out the home stand with two against the Dodgers (2-2, 3rd in NL West)

So I got into a groove yesterday and ended up writing an op-ed instead of my usual series preview. I apologize for that, but I didn’t want to leave y’all empty handed when it comes to polls.

Though I don’t have much in the way of stats I will let everyone know to expect an underlying narrative of revenge for the Dodgers. If one of the Astros gets grazed by a pitch at any point just be sure that there will be a ton of viral videos about how a 2-2 change up the plunks someone in the tush-tush is “just the beginning.”

Still, I expect some good baseball as two teams that are expected to win their respective divisions go at it. Both teams will have their aces sidelined due to injury, but the Dodgers’ pitching is in a better place than Astros’ pitching, which is currently featuring 8 rookies out of the pen.

The Astros will face Walker Buehler and Dustin May as starters for the Dodgers. Neither player was on the 2017 team so revenge by an actual aggrieved party will have to wait until the Astros get into the bullpen.

Fun Fact

The last time the Dodgers were at Minute Maid Park was Game 5 of the 2017 World Series.
