Zack Greinke time

MLB: Houston Astros-Workouts Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports

Hooray Astros! They’ve won their first two games of the 2020 season. And by a total of 11 runs.

But...But... They’ve done it against this season’s version of the 2012 Astros, the Seattle Mariners. If the Astros needed an easy opponent to slide into the season, the schedule gods sure came through big time.

And if any pitcher should confuse the kind of young, inexperienced sort that dominates the Mariners’ lineup, it would have to be Zack Greinke. He’s become the master of misdirection; every kind of pitch coming from every angle, every speed, hitting every corner at will.

This should be fun to watch if you’re a fan of the good guys. Please throw an eephus Zack...Please.

Seattle will counter with Yusei Kikuchi on the mound.

Big hitting first baseman Taylor Jones gets his major league debut today at DH after being activated to replace the injured Aledmys Diaz. Here’s another young Stro to keep your eye on. Enjoy your first glimpse.

Here’s the Astros lineup.

Go Stros!
