The Astros gave the Marlins their first Spring Training loss yesterday, winning 6 to 4. Zack Greinke made his Spring debut, going two innings with three strikeouts and one unearned run.
Fifth starter contender Josh James followed Greinke with two shutout innings of his own, also with three strikeouts. He threw 20 strikes in 25 pitches. As we all know, the key to James’ success is his control.
On the offensive side Michael Brantley bashed a third inning, two-run homer .
