As you’ve probably already heard, the Astros put two players on IL last night, Carlos Correa and Aaron Sanchez. Correa we already figured on, but Sanchez was a little bit of a surprise. The recovery time for both players is unknown.
The Astros disposed of the Tigers in workmanlike fashion last night, 6-3, despite Sanchez only completing three+ innings of work. Brad Peacock, in his first game back from IL, got the win despite some issues with command. Ryan Pressly and Roberto Osuna disposed of the Tigers in an efficient manner to close out the win.
Tonight it’s Cy Young front-runner Justin Verlander (15-4, 2.81 ERA) facing his old team, although he won’t recognize many of the faces. His opponent is Daniel Norris (3-10, 4.82 ERA).
Here’s the lineup and media access information below. Myles Straw was called up today and playing left field.
