All-Star Game Thread, 2019

There are nine men who take the field in a baseball game. There are fifteen teams in each league. Each team sends at least one player to the All-Star game.

Then how come the Astros have four starters on the AL All-Star Team?

Because they’re that good.

Justin Verlander of the Houston Astros is the AL starting pitcher, joining teammates Alex Bregman at third base, and outfielders George Springer and Michael Brantley as starters for the AL

Pitchers Gerrit Cole and Ryan Pressly are waiting in the wings to fill in if required, and they will probably be required.

It’s the best All Star game of all major sports.
