After the Astros scored eleven runs in the first three innings last night, a cease fire was agreed upon, and the Astros apparently declared the winner. Homer Bailey was charged with all the runs, and was credited with completing only two innings.
The Astros’ Cuban trio did most of the damage last night, Yuli Guriiel, Yordan Alvarez, and Aledmys Diaz, each with a home run.
Tonight Wade Miley tries to keep the Astros current six game win streak alive, facing off against former Astro and fan favorite, Mike Fiers. Some might be surprised to find that he is the ostensible ace of the A’s staff, with a 9-3 record, and 3.64 ERA. Miley’s record is 8-4, 3.25 ERA.
Here’s the Astros’ lineup and media access information.
