AAA: Round Rock Express (38-26) OFF

AA: Corpus Christi Hooks (31-32) lost 3-1 (BOX SCORE)

LaRue got the start and pitched really well outside of one bad inning where he allowed 3 runs, 2 earned. He ended up tossing 8 innings and a complete game. The Hooks only picked up 1 run in the game and that came on a Beer solo HR in the 4th.

Note: Beer is hitting .313 with 13 HR, 54 RBI in 59 games this season.

A+: Fayatteville Woodpeckers (28-36) won 5-1 (BOX SCORE)

The Woodpecker jumped out to a commanding 5 run lead scoring 5 runs in the first on an Adams sac fly and Valdez grand slam. Garcia started for Fayatteville and pitched well tossing 5 scoreless innings. He was relieved by Torres who allowed 1 unearned run over 3 innings. Rodriguez and Collado combined to toss a scoreless 9th to close it out.

Note: Garcia has a 2.47 ERA with 72 K in 51.0 innings this season.

A: Quad Cities River Bandits (40-21) won 10-9 (BOX SCORE)

Big offensive day for the River Bandits. They scored 5 runs in the 2nd inning on Hensley, Wielansky, Adolph, and Dennis RBI singles and another run on an error. Pena would add a 2 run single in the 5th. In the 8th they got two more runs on a Nova RBI single and Castro RBI double. The pitching wasn’t great but the offense did enough to come away with the win.

Note: Adolph is hitting .379 with HR, 5 RBI over his last 10 games.
