After a rough 1-3 series in Minnesota, perhaps the Astros welcome the warmer clime of Monterrey, Mexico, for two games against Mike Trout and the Angels.
Wade Miley, (1-2, 3.24 ERA) goes for the Stros, facing Trevor Cahill (1-2, 5.93 ERA).
Last game was the one-fifth mark of the season, and although it is somewhat ridiculous, I thought it might be fun to see how the hitters’ counting numbers would look at the end of the season if current trends held up. Here goes.
Carlos Correa: Current OPS .914, home runs 30, RBI 90, runs 65
George Springer: Current OPS .912, home runs 45, RBI 120, runs 105
Michael Brantley: Current OPS .884, home runs 25, RBI 90, runs 85
Alex Bregman: Current OPS .873, home runs 30, RBI 75, runs 75
Josh Reddick: Current OPS .863, home runs 15, RBI 35, runs 65
Robinson Chirinos: Current OPS .829, home runs 15, RBI 60, runs 60
Jose Altuve: Current OPS .828, home runs 45, RBI 100, runs 75
Yuli Gurriel: Current OPS .650, home runs 5, RBI 45, runs 65
Here’s the lineup:
