AAA: Round Rock Express (16-10) SUSPENDED


AA: Corpus Christi Hooks (13-14) POSTPONED


A+: Fayetteville Woodpeckers (15-14) lost 9-6 (BOX SCORE)

Mushinski got the start last night and pitched well allowing just 2 runs over 5.1 innings while striking out 10. The Woodpeckers jumped out to an early lead scoring 4 runs in the 2nd inning on a De La Cruz 2 run single and Beer 2 run single. In the 7th, Beer added another RBI single to make it 5-2. The Wood Ducks battled back and scored 4 in the 8th off of Martin. Manea tied the game in the 8th on a sac fly. The game went to extras and the Wood Ducks scored 3 runs in the top of the 10th. Unfortunately the bats were silent in the bottom of the inning as they fell 9-6.

Note: Mushinski has 7 BB/40 K in 24.1 innings this season.


A: Quad Cities River Bandits (15-10) won 2-0 (BOX SCORE)

Ruppenthal started for the River Bandits and tossed 4 scoreless innings, though he did walk 4 and strikeout 4. He was relieved by Torres who dominated striking out 7 over 3 innings. Schreiber provided the only scoring for Quad Cities with a 2 run HR in the 6th inning. Castellanos picked up the save tossing 2 scoreless innings to close it.

Note: Torres has a 0.00 ERA with 14 K in 8 innings this season.
