Another day of minor league action in the books. See the results below.

AAA: Round Rock Express (32-21) won 13-12 (BOX SCORE)

Wild game in Nashville last night. Hartman got the start and last 4.1 innings allowing 4 runs. The offense picked him up though scoring 2 in the 2nd on a Jones 2 run HR and 2 in the 3rd on an Alvarez RBI single and Jones sac fly. Quintana added a sac fly in the 5th. In the 6th the Express got RBI singles form Quintana and Tucker to take a 2 run lead, though Nashville would tie it. The game went into the 10th tied at 7. The Express scored 2 in the 10th on Reed and Rojas RBI singles but the Sounds responded with 2 of their own. In the 11th, the Express scored one run on a De Goti sac fly, but the Sounds tied it up again. Round Rock would score 3 in the 13th on a Ferguson 2 run HR and Reed RBI single. The sounds battled back with 2 runs but Ritchie was able to hold on for the save.

Note: Rojas is hitting .558 with 7 HR, 7 BB/3 SO over his last 10 games.


AA: Corpus Christi Hooks (25-26) lost 4-2 (BOX SCORE)

Bailey started for the Hooks and allowed 4 runs on 4 hits over 5.1 innings. The Hooks did pick up a run in the 6th on a Duarte RBI single. In the 7th, they got another run on a Dawson RBI single to make it 4-2. The bullpen was solid but the offense was unable to mount a comeback and lost 4-2.

Note: Wrenn has an .821 OPS in 44 games this season.


A+: Fayatteville Woodpeckers (23-29) lost 4-3 (BOX SCORE)

Paredes started for the Woodpeckers and dominated allowing just 1 hit and no runs over 6 innings while striking out 7. Shaver put the Woodpeckers on the board in the first inning with a 2 run HR, his 5th of the season. Arauz added an RBI single in the 6th to make it 3-0. Unfortunately the bullpen couldn’t hold the lead allowing the Blue Rocks to score 4 in the 8th as the Woodpeckers would lose 4-3.

Note: Paredes has a 1.58 ERA with 53 K in 40.0 innings this season.


A: Quad Cities River Bandits (32-17)

Game 1 - lost 8-6 (BOX SCORE)

Bravo started and pitched well allowing just 1 run in 5.1 innings. The River Bandits picked up 2 in the 4th on a Nova RBI groundout and Salazar sac fly. They scored 4 in the 5th on a Dennis 2 run double, Pena RBI single, and Salazar RBI single. The bullpen of Conn and Castellanos allowed 7 runs in the 7th as the Snappers came back to win it.

Note: Pena is hitting .459 with 10 RBI, 5 SB over his last 10 games.

Game 2 - lost 3-1 (BOX SCORE)

Schroeder made his second appearance of the season and got roughed up a bit allowed 3 runs in 1.2 innings. The River Bandits scored just one run on the evening and it came thanks to a passed ball. The bullpen put up zeros but the offense was unable to score any more runs.

Note: Schroeder has 7 K in 4.2 innings this season.
