I don’t know if this is 2014 or 2019. In 2014 there were lots of new faces and hope in prospects and a better world awaiting. It’s 2019, and with all the injuries we’re back to rooting for prospects again. Go Fisher, Go Mayfield, Go Stubbs. And today we add yet another rookie, Myles Straw, to replace Carlos Correa, who went on the IL with a fractured rib suffered at home. Apparently Daniela packs quite a punch. (just kidding, calm down)
The killer subs came through last night, taking game 2 of the series 9-6, with a little help from Alex Bregman’s two oppo taco homers.
Wade Miley pitches for the Astros tonight, (5-2, 3.32 ERA) against Kyle Hendricks (4-4, 3.34 ERA). The Astros go for the sweep despite their status as a team of invalids.
