Damn it’s fine to be an Astros fan. And I’m saying that after a loss. Because before that loss, THERE WERE TEN STRAIGHT WINS. The second ten game winning streak this year, and it’s not even June.
Tonight the White Sox come to town. They are not the pushovers you might expect from a “rebuilding” team, coming to Houston with a 21-24 record.
The Astros at nearly the one third mark of the season are mashing at a historic pace, although Red Sox pitching put a little damper on the bats. Let’s see if the Astros can heat it up again against the other Sox. But they’ll have to do it without Jose Altuve, still on the IL, and George Springer, out with back “discomfort.”
The Astros send Brad Peacock to contend with the Sox. The White Sox starter is still unannounced.
