Happy Mother’s Day
The Astros crushed the Rangers yesterday 11-4, behind stifling pitching by Gerrit Cole, and relentless offense led by an Aledmys Diaz grand slam and Michael Brantley’s 10th homer.
Today Corbin Martin makes his Major League debut against the Rangers’ Adrian Sampson. Martin has been placed on the 40 man roster, and he fills the place in the 25 man roster by replacing Jose Altuve, who was put on the IL with a hamstring strain.
Lineup is not available at the time of publication.
Last week the Fanpulse ratings of the Astros manager and team confidence remained steady at + 98%. Next week we will ask if baseball needs to shorten the time of games and who is the Astros MVP of the first quarter.
