AAA: Round Rock Express (13-10) POSTPONED


AA: Corpus Christi Hooks (12-13) lost 5-4 (BOX SCORE)

Bailey got the start in this one and pitched really well striking out 6 over 5 scoreless innings. The Hooks scored first getting a run in the first inning on a double play. In the 3rd they got another run on a Toro RBI double. McCormick added an RBI single in the 4th to make it 3-0. Following a solo HR in the 6th but the Drillers, Sierra had an RBI single to make it 4-1. Unfortunately, the bullpen struggled with Scheetz allowing 3 runs and Feldmann allowing 2 runs as the Drillers took a 5-4 lead. The Hooks were unable to comeback.

Note: Bailey has a 2.84 ERA with 22 K in 19 innings this season.


A+: Fayetteville Woodpeckers (14-11) won 4-0 (BOX SCORE)

Great start from Donato last night who tossed 6 scoreless innings with 3 strikeouts. That’s back to back scoreless starts from him. The Woodpeckers took an early lead scoring 3 runs in the 2nd on an Angarita RBI single and De La Cruz 2 run double. In the 6th they got another run on a Julks RBI single. Rosado and Billingsley tossed scoreless outings in relief to close it out.
