The Astros hit Corey Kluber pretty well last night, and yet could not get enough key hits in crucial situations to put him away. On the other hand, Collin McHugh was superb, getting nine strikeouts, but he gave up three solo home runs, and left the game after 5.1 innings with a score at 3-3.
Eventually the Indians would score three more runs on the Astros’ bullpen, two on a home run against Josh James, and win 6-3.
Today Brad Peacock goes against Cleveland’s Shane Bieber.
Note: Since Jose Altuve went on a home run tear, he is hitting .091, with a wRC+ of 65 in his last seven games and 29 PA’s. Lots of bad luck there though; a BABIP of .053.
Here’s the Astros lineup.
