AAA: Round Rock Express (12-8) won 2-0 (BOX SCORE)

Martin turned in another good outing striking out 6 over 5 scoreless innings. Tucker put the Express on the board with a solo HR in the 5th, his 4th of the year. In the 8th, they got some insurance on a Straw RBI single. Perez tossed 3 scoreless innings in relief and Guduan closed it out with a scoreless 9th.

Note: Martin has a 1.80 ERA with 18 K in 15 innings this season.


AA: Corpus Christi Hooks (11-10) won 4-3 (BOX SCORE)

Bukauskas finally had his first dominant outing of the season. He went 4 innings and struck out 9 while allowing 1 unearned run. Bielak relieved JB and allowed 2 runs over 3.2 innings. The Hooks entered the bottom of the 6th down 3-0 but rallied to score 4 runs on a Toro RBI single, Goetzman RBI double, and McCormick 2 run single. McKee closed it out with 1.1 scoreless innings.

Note: Toro is hitting .310 with 14 RBI over his last 10 games.


A+: Fayetteville Woodpeckers (13-8) won 7-1 (BOX SCORE)

Paredes dominated for the Woodpeckers last night striking out 7 over 5.1 scoreless innings while allowing just 1 hit. They got on the board in the 2nd inning on an Arauz RBI single. In the 2nd, they got two solo HRs from De La Cruz and Beer. They added two more in the 5th on a Beer sac fly and Adams RBI single. The Woodpeckers got some more insurance on an Adams and Meyers solo HR in the 7th ad 8th. Billingsly allowed an unearned run but struck out 6 over 2.1 innings.

Note: Beer is hitting .421 with 4 HR, 12 RBI over his last 10 games.


A: Quad Cities River Bandits (10-9) lost 7-2 (BOX SCORE)

Conine started and pitched really well allowing 1 earned run over 6 innings while striking out 9. Holderbach drove in a run on a double play and another run on an RBI single. The game was tied at 2 going into the 8th but the bullpen struggled and the offense was unable to mount a late comeback.

Note: Rodriguez was 2 BB/27 K in 21 innings this season.
