Another day of minor league action in the books. See the results below.

AAA: Round Rock Express (11-7) won 9-4 (BOX SCORE)

Rodgers started for Round Rock last night and turned in a quality start allowing 3 runs over 6 innings of work. Jones was the scoring the Express early as he had a solo HR in the first and another solo HR in the third. In the 5th the Express took the lead on a Jones RBI double and Alvarez 2 run double. In the 9th, the Express added some insurance on a Mayfield 2 run HR and an Alvarez solo HR, his 10th. Garza closed it out tossing 1.1 scoreless innings.

Note:Straw is hitting .341 with 5 SB over his last 10 games.


AA: Corpus Christi Hooks (8-10) lost 7-4 (BOX SCORE)

Adcock’s rough start to the season continues. He allowed 5 runs, just 1 earned, over just 2.2 innings. The Hooks got on the board in the 2nd on a Duarte 2 run single. Matijevic added a 2 run HR in the 3rd to make it 5-4. Unfortunately, the Naturals played add on getting 2 more runs in the 8th off LaRue to make it 7-4. The Hooks were unable to mount a comeback.

Note: Matijevic is hitting .385 over his last 10 games.


A+: Fayetteville Woodpeckers (10-8) OFF


A: Quad Cities River Bandits (8-8) lost 7-0 (BOX SCORE)

River Bandits just can’t get the bats going. Last night the offense managed just two hits on the night and were unable to push a run across. Moclair started and allowed 2 runs over 2.1 innings. Catstellanos allowed 5 runs in relief but Conn and Torres were both solid with scoreless outings.

Note:Torres has 7 K in 3 innings this season (3 outings).
