Another day of minor league action in the books. See the results below.

AAA: Round Rock Express (9-5) POSTPONED

AA: Corpus Christi Hooks (8-8) won 8-7 (BOX SCORE)

Bielak got the start for the Hooks but struggled a bit allowing 4 runs over just 2.1 innings. The Hooks first got on the board in the 3rd inning on a Goetzman solo HR and Sierra 2 run HR. They picked up a run in the 4th on a wild pitch and McCormick added 2 run shot in the 5th. In the 9th the Hooks got some much needed insurance on a 2 run double from Toro. Blanco was great in relief striking out 6 in 3.2 innings. Scheetz allowed 3 runs in the 9th but Feldmann was able to come in and close the door for the win.

Note: Matijevic is hitting .356 over his last 8 games.

A+: Fayetteville Woodpeckers (8-7) POSTPONED

A: Quad Cities River Bandits (7-7) lost 1-0 (BOX SCORE)

Yikes. A night after getting shutout and getting just 3 hits, they were no-hit last night. Not a good offensive stretch. The pitching was solid though with Deason tossing 4 shutout innings, Conine allowing 1 run in 4 innings, and Collado tossing a scoreless 9th.

Note: Conine has 2 BB/18 K in 15 innings this season.

Today’s starters according to MiLB.com:

RR: Cionel Perez (4.26 ERA)

CC: Gabriel Valdez (6.35 ERA)

FV: TBD

QC: Luis Garcia (4.50 ERA)
