Game 6 Thread: April 2nd, 2019, 7:05 CDT. Astros vs. Rangers

Can Justin Verlander make it two in a row for the Astros? Is there a strange odor around 2B when the visiting team bats in Arlington? For this and more, hang around and join the discussion.

Yes, and yes. Astros ace Justin Verlander faces the Rangers’ Shelby Miller (3.83 career ERA, 10.49 ERA in 16 IP last year), hoping somehow to improve on Brad Peacock’s 2 hitter last night, and making it six straight quality starts for the Astros staff in this young 2019 season.

Can he do it?.... Yes he can.

But can the bats? Although two runs won last night’s game, the Astros have not scored more than two runs in any of the last four games. So can the bats finally break out and hand the boys from suburban North Texas the humiliation they deserve?

Yes they can.

Let the Captain lead the way. In his second game this year Carlos Correa was 3-4 last night. And George Springer hit his 2nd home run. So tonight, I say, the whole lineup puts it together.

Astros win big 8-2.
