Another day of minor league action in the books. See the results below.

AAA: Round Rock Express (7-5) lost 10-2 (BOX SCORE)

Whitley made his second start of the season and it did not go well. He only lasted 1.1 innings allowing 5 runs. He was relieved by Sneed who pitched well in relief allowing just 1 run in 5 innings of work. Mayfield put the Express on the board in the first with a solo HR, his 3rd of the season. Stubbs also added a solo HR in the 6th inning for the second run. Deetz pitched in relief and allowed 4 runs in 1.1 innings.

Note:Mayfield is hitting .359 with 1.127 OPS in 11 games this season.


AA: Corpus Christi Hooks (5-7) won 6-4 (BOX SCORE)

Another nice win for the Hooks. Hernandez started and was solid as he allowed 2 runs in 5 innings with with 0 BB/6 K. The Hooks entered the 7th down 2-0 but tied it up on a Dawson RBI single and Robinson RBI single. After falling behind 4-2 in the top of the 8th, they responded scoring 2 in the bottom of the inning on a wild pitch and Toro RBI single. The game went to the 9th tied 4-4 but Robinson was quick to send the fans home happy as he connected on a 2 run walk-off HR.

Note:Rojas is hitting .364 with 7 BB/6 K in 9 games this season.


A+: Fayetteville Woodpeckers (8-4) won 6-1 (BOX SCORE)

Abreu started for the Woodpeckers and pitched well allowing just 1 run over 4.2 innings while striking out 10. The Woodpeckers wasted no time jumping out to a 2-0 lead in the first on an Adams RBI single and Meyers RBI single. In the 5th, Beer connected on a 2 run HR, his first of the season. They picked up insurance runs in the 6th and 7th on a Papierski RBI single and Shaver RBI walk. Mushinski closed it out striking out 5 over 3 innings.

Note: De La Cruz is hitting .375 with 4 2B, 3 SB in 8 games this season.


A: Quad Cities River Bandits (7-4) won 7-2 (BOX SCORE)

Dominant pitching for the River Bandits. Dubin started and 6 shutout innings while striking out 7. Valdez put the River Bandits on the board in the first inning with a 2 run HR. In the 5th, Lacroix added an RBI single to make it 3-0. They got insurance in the 6th scoring two on a Costes solo HR and Dawson RBI single. In the 7th they added two more on a Lacroix RBI triple and Costes RBI single.

Note: Dubin has a 0.75 ERA with 19 K in 12 innings this season.
