Great Spring day for the Astros yesterday, winner of both games against the Cardinals, with four strong innings by Wade Miley in an 11-2 Astros victory, and four scoreless innings by Forrest Whitley in a 5-0 win.
There were home runs in yesterday’s games by Aledmys Diaz, his first as an Astro, Jake Marisnick off Adam Wainwright, and a grand slammer by Abraham Toro.
Oh yeah, the best umpire in baseball, Angel Hernandez, booted manager A.J. Hinch for Hinch yelling from the dugout that Hernandez had hit his quota of four bad calls a game. (by the first inning) More here.
Here’s the Marisnick blast.
