It’s the Astros vs. Nationals. Collin McHugh gets his first start. Come join the discussion

MLB: ALCS-Houston Astros at Boston Red Sox Bob DeChiara-USA TODAY Sports

The bats went silent in yesterday’s 3-0 loss to the Marlins, but the pitching remained excellent, with Gerrit Cole and Wade Miley opening the first three innings with a combined shutout. The only runs by either team all came off Tyler Ivey, the other seven Astros pitchers escaped without allowing any Marlins runs. Unfortunately, the Astros managed only five hits, although Jake Marisnick, Myles Straw and Abraham Toro stayed hot, contributing one base knock each.

Today the Astros open with Collin McHugh, widely assumed to be re-capturing his starters role for 2019. It is his first Spring Training appearance. He will be opposed by the Rockies’ Jeremy Hellickson.

Here is the Astros’ starting lineup.
