Merry Christmas from all the writers at the Crawfish Boxes!
During the regular season we joke about how baseball is life and the most important thing, but what really makes this sport so special is how it can bring together people. We like to emphasize community here at TCB and that means that we consider each and every one of you who read our work to be like family. Maybe a rowdy family that throws food at the dinner table and occasionally gets into a minor fistfight in the backyard after one too many beers, but family nonetheless.
Because of that, I sincerely hope that each and every one of you who take the time to comment and read here is having an enjoyable and restful holiday today. And if you don’t celebrate one that’s happening today, at least are able to enjoy yourself and take a moment to reach out to family and friends.
Also, please remember that sometimes this holiday can be a struggle for some. Maybe take a moment to reach out to someone you know who has less than you and at least remind them that there is someone out there thinking of them. The Christmas spirit means so much more than just giving and receiving gifts, it’s about personal connections and affirming that we are all one family regardless of our day to day differences.
But, for the moment, we just wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, or a joyous holiday no matter what you observe. The readers are who we write for and without you there would be no TCB, so thank you to each and every one of you.
