Talking Stros Podcast: Astros Offseason Talk

Listen to Eric and Brandon all offseason talk Astros

MLB: World Series-Houston Astros at Washington Nationals Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

The Houston Astros fell short or winning their second World Series in 2019, but are still the early favorites to go again in 2020. With eight players leaving via free agency, Astros GM Jeff Luhnow will have to find a way to add players while staying under the luxury tax threshold. Jim Crane has said he wouldn’t be opposed to bringing back Gerrit Cole, but he would prefer to stay under the $208 million threshold.

Throughout the offseason on the Talking Stros podcast, Eric Huysman and Brandon DelCastillo will be talking about the rumors, what’s next, and all the latest Astros news. The shows will be broadcasted live on Sundays on KTXF The Reel and will be part of the Big Heads Media network.

Look for some of your favorite Crawfish Boxes writers to join the podcast from time to time discussing their articles. Check back here every week for the Soundcloud audio of the show. Don’t forget to check out Eric daily on the Locked On Astros podcast.

For the past week, the Houston Astros have been the center of attention at the GM Meetings. Instead of them making a big trade to bring in the next Gerrit Cole, they are the focus for something they did a couple seasons ago. By now, you have read The Athletic’s article where Mike Fiers and others have witnessed the Astros stealing signs with the use of a camera. If you haven’t, check Twitter. Eric and Brandon discuss this and more.
