We knew this day was coming last October, when the Red Sox took Game four of the ALCS from our beloved Stros.
We knew they’d be back, stronger than ever, gutsier than ever, and so it is. They won a record 107 games this year, mighty at the bat, and on the mound alike.
But it don’t mean a thing until they win 11 more games.
It starts today. Time to Take It Back.
Justin Verlander, already an immortal playoff hero for the Astros, takes the mound today against Tyler Glasnow, who was having his own Cy Young quality season until injury took him down earlier in the season. Glasnow is back, and he’s been pitching well. But how long can he go? And does it matter against the juggernaut that is the Astros lineup.
Did I mention Carlos Correa is starting today?
