It’s an NL one-game, sudden death playoff to get into the NLDS. Join the discussion.

Speaking for myself, the Milwaukee Brewers are sentimental favorites in this match-up. On September 12th, they lost arguably the best all-around player in baseball, seemingly indispensable Christian Yellich, and in a close race for the second WC spot you’d think they’d just wither away. Instead, it was the Cubs who withered away, and the Brewers went 12-5 in the absence of their main spark and superstar.

Do they have enough magic left to get past the imposing Nationals and their all-world superstar pitcher, Max Scherzer (11-7, 3.20 ERA) and NL MVP candidate Anthony Rendon?

Stay tuned.

The Brewers send their own ace, Brandon Woodruff, (11-3, 3.62 ERA), and if need be expect multiple innings from super-bullpen ace Josh Hader.
