Former Cy Young winner and 2017 All Star Dallas Keuchel is the biggest name pitcher still remaining available in free agency this winter. With what looks like a pitching shortage for 2019, should the Astros make an effort to re-sign Dallas Keuchel? If so how much should they be willing to pay him and for how many years?
Here is a link to a recent article about Keuchel published by Fangraphs which gives a sabremetric look at Keuchel’s recent performance and an explanation as to why teams have been reluctant to sign him.
What do you think? Should the Astros try to re-sign Keuchel and if so what are the parameters for such a signing that would be cost effective for the Astros. Would Keuchel accept such an offer? Does another team need him more? Tell us what you think the in the comments below.
