AAA: Fresno Grizzlies (75-54) won 15-1 (BOX SCORE)

Fresno put a whooping on Sacramento last night. Reed got the scoring started with an RBI single in the first inning. The offense put up 4 more runs in the 2nd on a De Goti RBI double, Straw RBI double, and Tucker 2 run HR. In the third inning, they got a solo HR from David and an RBI double from Alvarez. Reed added a 2 run HR in the 4th inning, his 26th of the season. Rodgers started and allowed 1 run over 6 innings. Fresno tacked on some insurance in the 8th scoring 6 runs on a based loaded walk to Reed, Davis RBI single, Fisher 2 run double, and Alvarez 2 run single. The bullpen was solid closing out the game with 3 scoreless innings.

Note: Tucker is hitting .488 with 6 HR, 15 RBI over his last 9 AAA games.


AA: Corpus Christi Hooks (77-50) lost 5-0 (BOX SCORE)

Rough night for the offense as they managed just 3 hits. Bielak started and was very good allowing 1 run over 6 innings while striking out 7. Unfortunately the offense was unable to get him any support as they lost 5-0.

Note: Bielak has a 2.09 ERA with 128 K in 112 innings this season.


A+: Buies Creek Astros (73-53) won 9-1 (BOX SCORE)

Saldana got the start and pitched really well allowing 1 run over 6 innings while striking out 7. Matijevic put the Astros on the board with a sac fly in the 2nd inning. The game was tied 1-1 heading into the 8th when Buies Creek took the lead with a De La Cruz bases loaded walk and a Beer grand slam. The picked up 3 more runs in the 9th on a Matijevic and De La Cruz RBI single and a Beer RBI groundout. LaRue closed the game out with 3 scorleess innings.

Note: Beer has 3 HR, 11 RBI over his last 9 games.


A: Quad Cities River Bandits (74-56) won 2-1 (BOX SCORE)

Rodriguez started for Quad Cities and allowed 1 run over 6.1 innings. The offense started really slow and entered the 9th down 1-0. With 2 outs in the 9th, Salazar tied the game with an RBI single. Quad Cities would take the lead in the 10th on a Taylor RBI single. Castellanos picked up the save with a scoreless 9th.

Note: Costes is hitting .351 over his last 10 games.
