MLB: Oakland Athletics at Houston Astros Shanna Lockwood-USA TODAY Sports

AAA: Fresno Grizzlies (74-54) won 10-8 (BOX SCORE)

Dykxhoorn started for Fresno but got roughed up allowing 7 runs in 5 innings. The offense got onto the board in the first inning when a run scored on a double play. They would get 2 more in the third on a Mayfield RBI double and Davis sac fly. Perez relieved Dykxhoorn and allowed 1 run in his 2 innings of work. In the 7th inning, Tucker connected on a solo HR, his 18th of the season. The game would move to the 9th with Fresno down 8-4. Fresno put together a big rally in the 9th though. The Grizzlies loaded the bases with no outs and Tucker hit a grand slam to tie the game at 8. They then got bases loaded walks to Alvarez and Ritchie to take a 10-8 lead. McCurry pitched a scoreless 9th to pick up the save.

Note: Tucker is hitting .419 with 6 HR, 15 RBI over his last 10 AAA games.


AA: Corpus Christi Hooks (77-49) won 9-8 (BOX SCORE)

The Hooks scored early and often in this one. The scoring got started on a Benedetti RBI single in the first inning. In the 2nd inning Dawson connected on a solo shot, his 14th of the season. The Hooks would put up a crooked number in the 3rd scoring 6 runs on a Toro sac fly, McCormick RBI single, Rojas sac fly, and Dawson 3 run HR. Devenski made a rehab start and allowed a run in 1 inning, though he did strike out the side. Rojas added another sac fly in the 4th for a little more insurance. The bullpen struggled allowing 7 runs over the final 8 innings but were able to hold on for the 9-8 win.

Note: Dawson is hitting .286 with 5 HR in 18 AA games.


A+: Buies Creek Astros (72-53) won 12-7 (BOX SCORE)

Rough night for Javier on the mound as he allowed 5 runs in just 2.2 innings. The offense came out on fire though getting on the board in the first thanks to a Matijevic solo HR. In the third, the offense erupted for 9 runs on a Julks RBI double, Matijevic 2 run HR, Adams solo HR, Canelon RBI single, and Julks grand slam. Beer added a 2 run HR in the 6th, his 9th of the season. The bullpen allowed a couple of runs but was able to hold on for the 12-7 win.

Note: Paredes has a 1.15 ERA with 91 K in 70.1 innings this season.


A: Quad Cities River Bandits (73-56) lost 6-5 (BOX SCORE)

Tough loss for Quad Cities. Rosado started and allowed 3 runs over 4.2 innings. The offense would battle back though scoring 1 in in the 5th when a run scored on an error and another in the 6th on a Papierski RBI single. They would rally for 3 more in the 7th on a Lacroix RBI single, Hensely sac fly, and Angarita sac fly. They held a 5-3 lead into the 9th but Wisconson rallied scoring 3 runs in the bottom of the 9th to win it.

Note: Costes is hitting .351 over his last 10 games.
